Ladies, decenter men to live better lives and improve career

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

I recently saw and saved this Instagram post telling us ladies to decenter men and wanted to share that with you here on this blog as I think it is critical for every woman to read and internalize thoroughly. Couldn’t possibly put this better myself so I am just going to share the caption and the post itself.

Please read and internalize the message, ladies: Decenter men.

I think it will really help in both your personal as well as professional lives. Our lives are full and happy without men and our careers regularly derailed due to prioritization of what men want rather than what is good for the woman’s career.

Deprioritization of what is good for the woman’s career does not even secure happiness for her personally. So, the only way to live is to live for yourself. Prioritize YOU above all and let everything else work itself out. Even if things don’t end up in marriage or children, well, that is totally fine and you will be better off without those things. I am not just saying that – it has been studied!

Women are happier without children or a spouse, says, happiness expert

The caption for the Instagram post is as follows, and mainly, says to decenter men:

“I don’t think we talk about this enough, about how women’s careers get derailed because focusing on ourselves is not the norm.

DECENTERING MEN IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO AS A WOMAN. Internalize this line, I’m literally begging you. I’m not just talking in terms of marriage and partnership, I’m saying literally everywhere. Stop giving their words and their opinions and their unasked for advice any shit. Trust yourself because you DO know better. It’s so hard to break the conditioning because for years cis men have had a superiority complex over every single thing and think they know better, but they really don’t, I promise. Self-love is a radical act against patriarchy and I want you to practice it from TODAY. ~Ida Hoe”
