Today I am stunned by the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and can only hope that if you need anything at all, you will feel free to reach out. Friends and family, we are all in this together whatever else this year holds in store.
Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian actor, dancer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He was also learning how to code. He posted this on Instagram only six weeks ago.
Sushant wrote:
I love computer gaming and always wanted to learn the language behind it. So last few weeks I’ve been trying to learn to code and it has been an extremely exciting process, to say the least, and yet I’m just scratching the surface.:) A special mention to ‘khan Academy’ spreading a world-class and free education for all, just wow !! #coding #computerprogramming #gaming #animation #love #freeEducation #quarantinethings
I am even sadder to think of the things we never found out about him or that he didn’t get to do… he was eager to learn something new and that, too, in STEM, and now that has been cut short. Still, I am glad that he found it an “extremely exciting process” and I am sure that it was.
Learning anything new, although tough, is rewarding in itself and I am happy that he shared that with the world. I am really glad he was utilizing free resources, too, and called attention to the work of the Khan Academy.
Khan Academy
Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan, with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos.
From the Khan Academy website:
We are a non-profit so if you are able, please consider making a donation so we can handle the increased demands of this crisis and continue to serve hundreds of millions of students, parents and teachers affected by school closures globally. With the initial help of partners like Bank of America, we can continue to scale our work but we need more. Every dollar counts.
I am so glad that they are helping to educate students and providing opportunities to learn especially during this crisis. Please donate to their cause if you can.
The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is a particularly difficult one to accept
I don’t know if that makes any sense.
Earlier today, as I was trying to process the news of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, I kept thinking that it does not make sense because he was so good! Of course, a thing like this does not have to make sense but the brain tries to form logical thoughts.
I am grieving this guy that I did not even know. He was so, so good at his job of acting, dancing, and entertaining, and still so young. He had worked so hard to get where he got, and then, this. I don’t know… that is unacceptable that hard work ends like this. There has got to be something very wrong somewhere.
I really knew a limited amount of information about him. There was so much more to him that I didn’t even know about and even then I feel that the world has lost so much today.
Please reach out and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Also, how beautiful is the moon and how beautiful is life in general? We can do this.
