I realize my posts yesterday on this blog, podcast, and YouTube channel were long, and not everyone had a chance to go through the material. So super quickly, I want to be clear that the “parallel universe uncovered” news is clickbait. Please don’t share these news articles that are saying that we (ANITA/NASA) have uncovered a parallel universe because we really have not published that or connected our results to a parallel universe.

Why I care so much

The “parallel universe uncovered” news is referencing my Ph.D. project ANITA so yes this is very much close to home. However please know that the news articles fabricated stuff and made things up. 😞

They are twisting around our work and we have not published or connected our results to a parallel universe. Not yet anyway. This does not mean that parallel universe cannot exist, it is simply that the news articles are false and our research so far has not shown scientific evidence for a parallel universe.

We do cool science – that’s for sure but the news articles are just out to grab eyeballs and money. If there were to be a big announcement like that there would be a big research publication associated with it. This is quite unfortunate that the news has misinformed the public about the current status of science.

We would love for there to be more enthusiasm for particle astrophysics and this kind of research work. I am happy to talk about the science that we do work on and what we have published so far.

This is why I posted a longer article yesterday on the science that is getting twisted to get a “parallel universe” somehow although even the way that connects to a parallel universe in the news articles is highly illogical and cringe-worthy. We have ongoing research and scope for further study. We said nothing about any parallel universe. That is the current status of the science part. The news bit has gone wild.
